The attention of the Bank of Ghana has been drawn to advertisements by some applicants for Microfinance license or companies in the media implying that such applicants or companies have been licensed by the Bank. This impression is misleading as “approval in principle” is subject to the fulfilment of conditions before a final approval can be granted. Thus it is only when the conditions are met that an applicant is issued with a valid operating licence. Read more
