The Bank of Ghana (BOG) hereby informs the general public that the Ghana Monetary Agency (GMA) which purports to have been established in 1960 by Presidential Decree No. 0186 to monitor and control the Bank of Ghana as amended to suit the Bank of Ghana (Amendment) Act, 1965 (Act 282) Decree 1973 is not and has not at any time been incorporated or registered in Ghana or licensed by the Bank of Ghana.

We wish to alert the public that the GMA, through its website www.gma-gh.com, is fraudulently seeking to recruit employees and provide unlicensed financial services. We therefore advise that any persons or organisations dealing or intending to deal with GMA, do so at their own peril.
