The world economy continued to reflect uneven growth trends as ongoing balance sheet adjustments restrain private domestic activities and employment opportunities, especially in the USA.  In sub-Saharan Africa however, growth has rebounded much faster and is projected by the IMF at 5.0 per cent by end year and 5.9 per cent in 2011.
